Our Vision

We aim to become a beacon of American cannabis heritage, renowned for our unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity. Through meticulous craftsmanship and a dedication to preserving our cultural roots, we aspire to set the standard for excellence in the industry. While expanding our footprint, we strive to be recognized as a trusted partner in holistic wellness, offering healing products and resources that nurture emotional and physical well-being.

Our Story

Torrwood Farm has been family owned and run since 1846, after the Kerr family emigrated from Scotland in 1840. While farming is one of the main activities at Torrwood, that operation takes up less than 10% of the property. Torrwood is enrolled and actively participates in the Forestry Program, hand replanting Chestnut trees that were wiped out in the early 1900’s to give the land back its old guard of trees. We also foster a 56 acre patch of forest land.

Torrwood Farm incorporates a robust crop rotation in keeping with the latest research from universities to analytical laboratories to keep the soil at its optimum level for sustainable production.

All of the fields are buffered by gorgeous old growth trees, black walnut, special NY friendly redwoods and (literally) miles of old fieldstone walls which our ancestors culled from the cleared forests and resulting fields in the late 1800’s - in 2020 alone, we hand planted 38 new apple trees of all varieties, three-hundred-fifty forsythia which will be stunning come next year, and restocked good portions of the closest stonewalls. Our goal is to share the mountain with our neighbors, be good stewards of the land as was taught to us and bring top-notch products to market.
